TLC for your Hands + Feet + Hair

Our hands and feet are in desperate need of TLC.

My hands have never been scrubbed so much in their entire lives and my feet are still coming out of hibernation — I always take a pedicure break over winter — so by the time early spring rolls around my feet look like they are related to Shrek.

There are a few products that have become my at home saviours and I shared them with Global News Morning earlier today (filmed from the comfort of my own home studio — seriously in awe of technology at the moment).

Footner Exfoliating Socks

This is an exfoliating sock to remove hard, calloused skin. You slip them onto your feet for one hour and the serum will work it’s magic. Then over the course of the next week every ounce of harden skin will come off and flake in chunks. Your feet will literally peel like a snake — no joke. It’s that powerful. You will want to hide your feet from the outside world as this happens — it’s a revolting but slightly awe inspiring process — but considering our current self isolation circumstances, there really is no better time.

Aveeno Repairing CICA Hand Mask

Aveeno launched these hand mask gloves last year. The gloves are infused with a rich serum to nourish your hands. Simply wear them for 10 minutes (I like to wear them watching Netflix, so really, I wear them for nearly an hour). Afterwards, your dry, chapped, aching hands will thank you.

Schwarzkopf Hair Mascara

I also talked about the beauty of hair mascara to temporarily hide grey hairs. It works exactly like mascara for your lashes and lasts until you wash your hair. For dark haired gals it’s genius for covering those pesky grey stands, but sadly there isn’t currently a shade for blonde or red heads.

Finally, I shared how to remove shellac nail polish at home, I have a step-by-step tutorial here.

Excellent suggestions. Looks like pedicures and manicures at home will be part of my self care as I isolate for another month.

Isn’t that the truth. But thankfully relatively simple to do — and I’m tell you that exfoliating sock is the most gratifying experience ever!
